Trio in stolen auto arrested in Waipahu

Advertiser Staff

Two Kapolei men have been charged with misdemeanor offenses while felony auto theft charges are pending against a third man.

Daniel Kepanu Mano-Kila, 19, and Tyron Antonio, 18, are each charged with unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle. Mano-Kilo is also being held on a $20,000 bail revocation warrant while Antonio has a second misdemeanor charge for possession of an electric gun.

Mano-Kila and Antonio were passengers in a vehicle that attracted the attention of police while parked at a Tesoro station pump at 94-120 Farrington Highway. Two people in the vehicle had hoods over their heads, police said. Suspecting a robbery, a police officer at the scene called in the vehicle's license plates and learned it was stolen.

The three men were arrested and police found one with the electric gun.
