A 33-year-old Pearl City man was charged by prosecutors tonight in connection with Thursday's takeover robbery at a Waimalu pool hall.

Ju Young Woo was charged with first-degree robbery and four counts of kidnapping. His bail totals $750,000 pending an initial appearance tomorrow at District Court.

According to police, three masked men entered Aiea Cue, located on the second floor of a building at 98-064 Kamehameha Hwy., at 2:15 a.m. and forced four people into another room. The men allegedly broke into an ATM and also a change machine and fled with cash.

Woo was identified as a suspect by investigators and was arrested Monday night on Imina Place in Mililani.

Woo's criminal record includes three convictions.
