HAWAI'I KAI
Keahole Street getting left-turn option at mall

A left-turn signal to allow motorists heading makai on Keahole Street to turn into the Hawaii Kai Shopping Center will be activated at 10 a.m. today, according to the city.

"This is a safety priority of Hawai'i Kai residents, given the number of near-misses involving motorists and pedestrians on this heavily traveled stretch of road," said Mayor Mufi Hannemann in a news release.

The project cost $50,000. Work included cabling, a conduit, poles and pedestrian push buttons.
