What are you most proud of? "The quality of our teaching staff is outstanding, as evidenced by our students' test scores that are well above the national average," Anderson said. "Our program is focused on academic excellence and centered in Christ. We are truly a Christian school with daily religion classes and chapel services every Wednesday."

What is your biggest challenge? "The transience of our military population," Anderson said. "About 40 percent of our students come from military families and we are sad to say goodbye when they have to leave. However, we also are blessed with the opportunity to regularly welcome new military families into our Trinity 'ohana."

Special events: Fifth-graders attend Camp Erdman; sixth- graders go to Camp Mokule'ia; seventh-graders take part in a marine expedition; eighth-graders go to the Big Island. Other events include Christmas programs, Scholastic Book Fair, spelling bee, geography bee, science fair, Jump Rope for Heart, Multicultural Day, Spring Fling Carnival, Trinity Olympics and the Lutheran Schools Golf Tournament.

History: The school opened in 1953 with just a kindergarten class. Other grades were added later.
