A 27-year-old man was indicted yesterday on two counts of first-degree sex assault in connection with an alleged attack on a college student.

Nariaki Saito was arrested Thursday at Ward Centre, where he worked as a valet, after contacting the female victim, 21, and asking her to meet him. The woman, a University of Hawai'i-Manoa student, brought police with her to the meeting.

According to a police affidavit, the woman had been drinking in Waikiki on March 17. A friend put her in a cab but instead of being driven home, she awoke in a Makiki apartment. The woman told police a man was touching her and pounded her head on the floor.

The man drove her to her dormitory and said he wanted to see her again, the affidavit said. He sent her a text message on March 18, leading to the meeting and his arrest.
