Ishida on U.S. taekwondo team

Jensen Ishida of Waipahu qualified for the 20-member U.S. Junior National Taekwondo Team.
Ishida, who trains at the O'ahu Taekwondo Centers, is on the team for the second straight year. Ishida qualified after the World Junior Team Trials in Des Moines, Iowa, on April 4.
The U.S. Junior National Team will compete at the World Junior Taekwondo Championships in Izmir, Turkey, May 8 to 11.
