Surf of 4 to 6 feet expected on north shores

Advertiser Staff

Surf along east-facing shores is expected to increase a bit today, up to 3 to 5 feet, the National Weather Service said.

Surf of 4 to 6 feet is expected along north-facing shores; 2 to 3 feet along west-facing shores and 2 to 4 feet along south-facing shores.

A strong high pressure area developing north of the state will likely produce rough surf near the advisory threshold for east-facing shores Sunday through Wednesday. There will be a small north swell Sunday and Monday. A moderate south southwest swell is expected to arrive Tuesday.
