More rain for mauka, windward areas

Showers will continue to affect mainly windward and mauka areas today as a strong high pressure system north of the state keeps the breezy trade winds around.
The National Weather Service's latest forecast calls for mostly cloudy skies today with temps near 79, east winds 15 to 17 mph gusting to 22 mph and a 30 percent chance of rain.
Tonight: Scattered showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 70. East wind between 10 and 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent.
Tuesday: A 30 percent chance of showers, mainly after noon. Partly cloudy, with a high near 78. East wind between 11 and 14 mph.
Tuesday Night: A 30 percent chance of showers, mainly after midnight. Widespread haze after midnight. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 69. East wind around 8 mph.
Wednesday: A 50 percent chance of showers. Widespread haze. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 78. Southeast wind around 10 mph becoming southwest. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.
