East shores under high surf advisory

Advertiser Staff

The eastern shores of most of the Hawaiian Islands remain under a high surf advisory this morning, the National Weather Service said, with surf continuing to be 6 to 10 feet.

The current east swell will begin to lower tomorrow. A small northwest swell is expected around Thursday with a more northerly swell expected over the weekend. The new south swell will continue through tomorrow with a slightly larger swell expected Thursday into Saturday.

Elsewhere today, surf will be 4 to 7 feet along north-facing shores, 2 to 4 feet along south shores and 1 to 3 feet along west shores.
