Singer Marlene Sai will join the Hawaii Youth Symphony in the orchestra's annual Aloha Concert luncheon on May 24 at the Hilton Hawaiian Village's Tapa Ballroom.

The event features with a country store at 10:30 a.m., with lunch at 11:30 a.m., followed by the concert and program at 12:15 p.m.

Sai, a Na Hoku Hanohano Award winner who will be part of a Hawaiian show May 31 at Carnegie Hall, will join the youth symphony in paying tribute to 34 graduating seniors in the HYS orchestra, who represent 20 high schools statewide. Also to be honored: Ellen Masaki, local piano teacher for more than 50 years, for her contributions to the community.

The concert will begin with performances by the Youth Symphony II, directed by Michael Nakasone. Sai then shares Hawaiian classics with the Youth Symphony I, under the baton of Maestro Henry Miyamura.

Tickets: $45, or $430 for a table of 10; includes lunch and the concert.

Reservations: 941-9706, www.HiYouthSymphony.org.
