'Festival of Flowers' at Plantation Village

Advertiser Staff

"Festival Flowers," a traditional Filipino celebration marking the arrival of spring, will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 3 at Hawai'i's Plantation Village, at 94-695 Waipahu St. in Waipahu.

The event pays tribute to Hawai'i's multicultural society.

Cultural performances are scheduled, including a Flores de Mayo, a parade of flowers procession with young girls wearing white and carrying blooms in front of a lineup of folks in ethnic dress.

There will be ethnic foods, too, plus keiki activities and an ikebana exhibit.

Admission is free.
