'Grey's,' 'Lost' get 2-hour send-offs

ABC will squeeze an additional episode out of two of its top hits in this strike-shortened spring season.

"Grey's Anatomy" and "Lost" will now end their seasons with two-hour finales. "Grey's" will wind up on May 22 (8 p.m. Hawai'i time), while "Lost" will be bumped that night but return a week later, on May 29, with its own double-sized wrap-up (8 p.m., Hawai'i time).

Both series will have produced six post-strike hours, up from five planned previously. And both will end their runs after the traditional broadcast TV season ends on May 21.

Meanwhile, CBS has announced a summer schedule that includes the speedy return of "Big Brother," which ends its latest season this month; a remake of classic game show "Password" hosted by Regis Philbin; two new dramas; two other reality series; and live mixed-martial-arts competitions, due on four Saturdays, including May 31 and July 26.

"Million Dollar Password" airs at 7 p.m. Sundays starting June 1, while training competition series "Greatest American Dogs" is due at 7 p.m. Thursdays starting July 10. "Jingles," the latest from Mark Burnett ("Survivor"), asks contestants to come up with songs for products, sports teams and other targets. It bows July 27, at 8 p.m. Sundays.

"Big Brother" is back for its 10th season on July 13, airing at 7 p.m. Sundays, at 8 p.m. Tuesdays and at 7 p.m. Wednesdays. New drama "Swingtown," about swinging couples in the 1970s, is now due June 5 (avoiding "Lost"), at 9 p.m. Thursdays, while "Flashpoint," a Canadian rescue-team drama, premieres July 11, at 10 p.m. Fridays.
