HILO
Tsunami survivors' tales part of preparedness fair

The tsunami risk in Hilo will be the focus of a Tsunami Safe Disaster Preparedness Fair from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. tomorrow at the Kress Building.

The free event is open to the public, and information will be available on preparation and recovery efforts for the Hilo community. There will be instructions on putting together a disaster kit, and lectures by local and national tsunami experts.

Tsunami survivors will be on hand to tell their stories, and Connections Charter School is providing student displays on all Big Island disasters.

For more information, contact Christian Kay at 961-8288, ext. 254.
