Lots of sun in weekend weather forecast

A high pressure area to the northeast of the state continues to build and will keep the trade winds blowing over the islands at a moderate pace through the weekend, the National Weather Service said.

What clouds and rain showers there are will be limited for the most part to windward and mauka areas.

Here's a closer look at what to expect for the weekend:

Today: Mostly sunny with isolated showers. Highs 80 to 86. East winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Tonight: Partly cloudy with isolated showers. Lows 67 to 72. Northeast winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Sunday: Mostly sunny with isolated showers. Highs 80 to 86. East winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.
