Airport viaduct work planned today

Three westbound lanes of the H-1 Freeway Airport viaduct from the Airport on-ramp to the Kamehameha Highway off-ramp will be closed from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. today for concrete pavement work.

All on- and off-ramps will remain open.

The roadwork is part of a $9.1 million project to repair potholes along a nearly three-mile stretch on the airport viaduct. Crews will use a fast-forming concrete to fill in potholes.

To minimize vibrations as the concrete hardens, the speed limit in the area will be 15 mph and enforced by special-duty officers.
