The state Department of Transportation advises Lana'i motorists of a single lane closure on Kaumalapau Highway between Manele Road and Mile Marker 5.0 in both directions through Friday, from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., for pavement resurfacing work.

During the closure, traffic will be contraflowed through the area in the remaining open lane. Completion of this project is anticipated in June.
