TheBoat canceled its 9 a.m. sailing from Aloha Tower today because of high surf, and it's yet to be decided if the afternoon sailing will be canceled.

A representative for TheBoat said it has been decided yet if the afternoon services will also be canceled.

"We have no preconceived notion the sailings would be canceled this afternoon," said Darin Mar, project manager for TheBoat. "We'll have to see how it plays out."

Mar said TheBoat ran its first two sailings this morning and based the cancellation on the captain's suggestion because of the rough seas.
