Anti-terrorism exercise at military bases

Advertiser Staff

Anti-terrorism exercises testing terrorism response are continuing over the next two days at military bases around Hawaii.

Most of the events will have minimal public impact, a news release from Schofield Barracks said, but yesterday, Tripler Army Medical Center gates mistakenly invoked more stringent measures, causing traffic delays during the morning rush.

Army officials faxed an apology for the delays last night and said it was a it was a case of human error and that gates would go back to normal operations today.
