No foul play suspected in Big Island death

Advertiser Staff

An autopsy today on a badly decomposed body of a man found yesterday in Puna could not determine cause of death but found no indications of foul play, according to a Big Island police news release.

The advanced stage of decomposition made it impossible to immediately identify the man so other methods of identifying the remains will be employed, police said.

Detectives with the Criminal Investigations Section are investigating the death, classified as a coroner's inquest.
