Nanaikapono audio equipment to get test

Advertiser Staff

Jeff Anderson, president of Audio Enhancement, a technology systems company, will be at Nanaikapono Elementary School tomorrow to check on and demonstrate its equipment installed in the school at the beginning of the year.

The equipment was donated to the school by ALTRES Staffing, a local employment services company, after that company learned the school has a larger than normal percentage of special-needs students.

Audio Enhancement speakers set throughout the classroom amplify the teacher's natural speaking voice.

The system uses pendant-style infrared wireless microphones to eliminate the need for teachers to speak loudly. Students can also use handheld microphones to talk when answering questions.
