Police investigate death of man found in ocean

Police are investigating the death of a man found floating in the water off Reed's Bay early Sunday afternoon.

Police said beachgoers moved the body of an elderly Caucasian man to shore and called 911.

The dead man has been tentatively identified, but police said his name is being withheld pending positive identification. Investigators have not ruled out foul play, and an autopsy is scheduled for today.

Police ask anyone with any information about the case to call Detective Rio Amon-Wilkins at 808 961-2386 or the Police Department's non-emergency number at 808 935-3311.
