Free document shredding offered on Maui

Advertiser Staff

Maui residents can ease some of their worries about identity theft by bringing old tax returns, canceled checks and other confidential papers to a free document-shredding event sponsored by AARP chapters in Kula and Kihei.

A Shred Ex truck will be parked at Home Depot in Kahului from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday to provide drive-through service. Help with unloading is available, but there is a four-box limit. The free shredding event is not open to businesses. Documents will be destroyed on-site.
