Police are seeking to arrest a 34-year-old man for questioning about two recent Honolulu bank robberies.

William J. Foley, wanted on an outstanding $250 traffic warrant, is a suspect in the April 11 robbery of American Savings Bank's Ala Moana branch and Monday's robbery of First Hawaiian Bank's Liliha Branch.

Demand notes were used in both cases. However, in the ASB-Ala Moana case, the suspect wrote the demand on a withdrawal slip and fled without cash when the teller asked him for identification. An undisclosed amount was taken in the First Hawaiian robbery.

Foley has one prior criminal conviction. He is known to frequent the Downtown area, police said.

Anyone with information on Foley's whereabouts can call Honolulu CrimeStoppers at 955-8300 or *CRIME on a cellular phone.
