By Wayne Harada

Three stars of the O'ahu-based "Lost" ABC series — Yunjin Kim, Naveen Andrews and Daniel Dae Kim — are among the nominees for the Asian Excellence Awards show, celebrating achievement by Asians and Asian Americans in the performing arts. A fourth "Lost" actor — guest star Ken Leung — also has been nominated.

Yunjin Kim (Sun) is vying for outstanding television actress, Andrews (Sayid) and Daniel Dae Kim (Jin) are competing for outstanding television actor and Leung is a supporting television actor contender. Andrews also is a nominee for outstanding film actor ("The Brave One").

The show, taped in L.A. this week for airing May 1 on the E! cable station (coinciding with Asian Pacific American Heritage Month in May) ,had a high Hawai'i presence — Carrie Ann Inaba ("Dancing With the Stars") was a co-host, Mark Dacoscos ("Iron Chef") and Kelly Hu ("Martial Law") were presenters, and Tia Carrere (Grammy nominee and actress) and Daniel Ho (Grammy winner and a producer-performer) were headline entertainers.
