WESTIN PRINCEVILLE OCEAN RESORT VILLAS

Ron Cremer has been appointed director of fun for The Westin Princeville Ocean Resort Villas' new Kaua'i property. In his new position, Cremer oversees the resort's Westin Kids Club, for ages 5 to 12, and the Discover program of activities and entertainment for families. He has been instrumental in development of the resort's guest service programs. Cremer has been with parent company Starwood Hawai'i since 1999, having worked at the Kapalua Bay Hotel and The Westin Maui Resort & Spa. He was human resources manager at The Westin Maui from 2005 to 2008. Cremer has received numerous Starwood certifications and was awarded the Hawai'i Hotel & Lodging Association's Na Po'e Pa'ahana Award for Manager of the Year in 2007.

STARWOOD VACATION OWNERSHIP

Starwood Vacation Ownership has appointed Gerald O'Neil as spa director of Heavenly Spa by Westin at The Westin Ka'anapali Ocean Resort Villas. O'Neil is helping develop the new luxury facility's treatment menu, staffing and overall operations as it prepares for its grand opening in May. Prior to joining Starwood, O'Neil was spa director of the Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe's Stillwater Salon and Spa, where he developed and implemented successful new programs and was awarded the Resort Department of the Year recognition in 2007. He previously was spa supervisor and lead aesthetician at the Park Hyatt Los Angeles' Kara Spa.

KAPI'OLANI HEALTH FOUNDATION

Three new members have joined the volunteer board of the Kapi'olani Health Foundation as the board prepares for a capital campaign to support a phased redevelopment of Kapi'olani Medical Center for Women & Children. The members are: Lynn Araki-Regan, a Maui attorney in private practice and former economic development coordinator under Maui Mayor Alan Arakawa; Heidi Snow, a community volunteer; and Gregory Yim M.D., a pediatrician who has specialized in pediatric neurology at the Kapi'olani Medical Center for Women & Children for 14 years. The Kapi'olani Health Foundation supports its affiliates, the Kapi'olani Medical Center for Women & Children and Kapi'olani Medical Center at Pali Momi.

GROUP 70 INTERNATIONAL

Group 70 International Inc. has promoted Tom Young to principal. Formerly an associate/project architect, Young will now help shape the firm's overall business plan while continuing to supervise projects. In his new role, Young will also serve as a principal-in-charge of marketing, along with fellow principal Paul Bierman-Lytle, the firm's chief sustainability officer. Young brings more than 20 years of architectural experience to Group 70, with a special emphasis in resort, time-share and high-rise residential resort projects. He is knowledgeable in technology suitable for high-rise buildings, especially exterior cladding and curtain wall systems. Young's past projects include the Marriott Vacation Club International at Ko Olina, The Grand Waikikian and the Hyatt Regency Maui Resort and Spa at Ka'anapali.
