Fresno State's walk-off homer in 8th beats Rainbow Wahine, 3-2

Jenna Cervantez hit a home run to open the bottom of the eighth inning to lift No. 10 Fresno State to a 3-2 victory over No. 24 Hawai'i in the first game of a Western Athletic Conference softball doubleheader at Fresno, Calif.

Fresno State is 44-8 overall and 10-3 in the WAC. UH is 33-16 and 7-6.

The Rainbow Wahine took a 2-0 lead in the second inning on consecutive home runs by Valana Manuma and Clare Warwick.

Fresno State tied it on a two-run double by Ryane Petersen.

UH's Courtney Baughman took the loss, allowing 10 hits, striking out eight and walking none in seven-plus innings.
