UH upsets top-seed Boise State to reach WAC men's tennis final

The University of Hawai'i men's tennis team upset top-seed Boise State, 4-3, today at Las Cruces, N.M., to reach the Western Athletic Conference tournament final for the first time in school history.

The Rainbow Warriors (7-10), seeded fourth, face Fresno State, a 4-0 winner over New Mexico State, in tomorrow's final. The winner gets an automatic berth in to the NCAA Tournament.

Boise State (21-11) went out to a 3-0 lead with two singles victories and the doubles point. But the Rainbow Warriors got singles victories from Sascha Heinemann, Andreas Weber, Spence Mendoza and Jeff Fitch.
