North Shore community meeting this week

A meeting to discuss emergency preparedness on the North Shore, along with rail and recycling, is slated for tomorrow from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Haleiwa Elementary School, 66-505 Haleiwa Road.

Mayor Mufi Hannemann will host the discussions, which will include safety preparations for hurricanes and tsunamis, information on the expansion of curbside recycling on the North Shore in November and to update residents about the the rail transit project.
