Honolulu woman facing forgery prosecution

Advertiser Staff

A woman charged by information in February is facing prosecution on multiple counts of forgery.

Barbie Jane Hillen, 40, who listed a Kalihi Valley address at her booking Friday, was arrested on 11 counts of second-degree forgery and one count each of unauthorized possession of confidential personal information and fraudulent use of a credit card.

The counts stem from a July 2007 theft of traveler's checks and credit card from a woman at a Waikiki hotel and the attempt to cash them at a retail store, according to prosecutors. Two men were charged in connection with the case.
