2 abducted Kailua foster children returned

Advertiser Staff

Two children abducted by a non-custodial parent Thursday in Kailua were located today, according to state Human Services officials.

Child Protective Services took custody of Millie and Kaimana Almony-Leong, ages 7 and 1, respectively. Both children underwent an examination for placement in another foster home.

DHS information officer Toni Schwartz said the children were located through a tip. Millie was returned to her school in Kailua and her brother to his paternal grandmother foster parent, added Schwartz.

Yolanda Leong, the children's non-custodial parent, has not been arrested.
