Bank robbery charges are pending against a 34-year-old man wanted on a $250 misdemeanor traffic warrant who surrendered to police last night.

William J. Foley is being held at the main police station cellblock on the warrant pending charges for two first-degree robbery and one second-degree robbery counts.

A Honolulu CrimeStoppers bulletin last week identified Foley as a suspect in the April 11 robbery of American Savings Bank at Ala Moana and last Monday's robbery of First Hawaiian Bank at Liliha branches.

Foley, who listed a Miller Street address, surrendered to police at the main station at 9:25 p.m.
