Waipahu wins OIA White baseball title

WAIPAHU — Jansen Rios singled in the winning run in the bottom of the seventh inning and Kaimi Haina struck out 11 batters as the Waipahu High School baseball team defeated Radford, 4-3, this afternoon for the O'ahu Interscholastic Association White title.

Tryton Gante drove in a run earlier in the seventh as the Marauders (12-0-1) rallied from a 3-2 deficit.

Eric Espenshade batted 3 for 3 for the Rams (8-4-1). Also this afternoon, Kahuku defeated Kalaheo, 3-2, in the third-place game.

All four teams qualified for the state tournament.
