Volunteer tour guides needed at the Aquarium

The Waikiki Aquarium is looking for volunteer tour guides.

Volunteers must go through a free training class before starting.

The next training is set from May 13 to 29. Classes are held Tuesday and Thursday evenings, from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m., and Saturday, 9 a.m. to noon. After training, volunteers are required to work one, two-hour shift a week for six months.

Tour guides help visitors understand galleries and exhibits, answer questions about Hawai'i's marine life and highlight the need for conservation to save species.

Volunteers get free admission, gift shop discounts and more.
