Advertiser Staff

The Honolulu Department of the Medical Examiner confirmed yesterday that last Friday's fatal shooting in 'Ewa Beach was a murder-suicide but declined to name the man and woman who died until their identities are positively confirmed.

Neighbors, however, identified the couple as Domingo "Bunny" Dikito, 39, and his 38-year-old wife, Della.

Autopsy findings determined the woman died of injuries to the heart, liver and lungs due to multiple gunshots and listed manner of death as homicide. The man died from a gunshot wound to the head and manner was suicide.

The case was Honolulu's fifth homicide of 2008. All have been resolved.
