Advertiser Staff

Hawai'i remains one of the lowest states in terms of the number of the number of unemployed people to online advertised vacancies, according to a report from the Conference Board.

The New York-based business group said Hawai'i tied for having the 10th-lowest supply-demand rate, with there being 1.2 unemployed people to every online want-ad. That compared to the national rate of 2.15.

The report also said Honolulu was one of only three metropolitan areas of 52 examined where the number of advertised vacancies increased from a year earlier.
