Time change for ILH baseball playoff

Advertiser Staff

The start of tomorrow's Saint Louis vs. Punahou baseball playoff game has been moved up to 3:30 p.m. at Ala Wai field.

Original game time was 3:45 p.m.

The game could decide the Interscholastic League of Honolulu title.

If Punahou loses tomorrow, each team will have one loss in the double-elimination tournament and therefore will meet again Friday to determine the ILH Tournament champion.

If Punahou wins tomorrow, the four-time defending state champion will be the ILH Tournament champion.

But since Saint Louis won the ILH regular season, both teams would play Saturday to determine the overall ILH champion and the league's top seed in the upcoming state tournament.

Either way, both teams, along with Mid-Pacific, which finished second in the ILH regular season, have qualified for the state tournament.
