Surf: South shores to drop to 2-4 feet today

Advertiser Staff

Surf along the south-facing shores on Oahu will be down a bit today but should still be in the 2- to 4-foot range, the National Weather Service said.

Elsewhere, look for surf of 1 to 3 feet along west-facing shores, 2 to 4 feet along east-facing shores and 2 feet or less along north-facing shores.

Outlook through Wednesday, Aug. 6: The trade wind swell along east-facing shores will subside through Friday as trade winds continue to decline into the weekend. Small summertime background swells will continue along south-facing shores through the weekend, but no significant swells are expected through the middle of next week.
