Weekend valet parking starts at airport terminal

Advertiser Staff

The state Department of Transportation is now offering weekend valet parking service at the Honolulu International Airport commuter terminal.

The valet service, operated by Ampco System Parking, will operate from 5:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday beginning today.

The drop-off area is at the mauka end of the commuter terminal.

When travelers return, pickup will be along the outer curb fronting the commuter terminal lobby.

When they drop their vehicles off, travelers will need to provide date, flight and time of their return arrival to schedule vehicle pickup, which will be available from 5:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Sunday.

The valet parking fee is $20 per calendar day, prepaid.

Valet parking service was started originally at the inter-island terminal with the intent to add additional locations if the demand arose.

The pilot project for weekend valet service at the commuter terminal will help determine if the service should be expanded to weekdays as well.

The valet parking service will continue at the inter-island terminal as well, from 5:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.
