TERRE HAUTE, Ind. — The Indianapolis Colts waived former University of Hawai'i offensive lineman Tala Esera today, according to an Associated Press story.

Esera, a guard, was signed by the Colts in January. He originally was signed by the Miami Dolphins as an undrafted free agent in 2007.

Indianapolis re-signed kicker Adam Crossett, who was waived July 25, to help Adam Vinatieri rest his right leg. Esera was waived to make room for Crossett on the 80-man roster.
