HECO work starts on Nimitz this week

Advertiser Staff

Starting tomorrow and continuing through Oct. 11, utility work on Nimitz Highway will cause congestion from Bethel to River streets and from Sumner to Kukahi streets.

Hawaiian Electric contractors will be working every day from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. except Sundays and holidays.

One lane in the Waikiki-bound direction and one lane in the 'ewa-bound direction will be closed in the work area. On Saturdays, the closures will be from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Take an alternate route if possible or make allowances for more travel time.
