Advertiser Staff

A Kalihi man was arrested last night in Windward O'ahu for investigation of punching another man, causing him to suffer a fractured jaw and concussion.

The 6-foot-1, 300-pound suspect was arrested on the 47-300 block of Hui Koloa Place in Ahuimanu at 10:35 p.m. for first-degree assault.

The victim, 43, was taken to Castle Medical Center. Police said the victim and another man were arguing when the suspect allegedly came up from behind and punched him on the right side of his head. The victim fell, striking his head on the pavement, police said.

Charges are pending.
