Kahuku Public and School Library will host various free events and activities this month, starting with a feather lei class set for 6 p.m. tomorrow. Kanoe Elvenia will provide sample material for the class and whole kits will be available for purchase. Reservations are requested.

The book club will discuss "Shadow of the Wind" by Carlos Ruiz Zafon at 6:30 p.m. Aug. 12; and Mary Lal will lecture on natural remedies at 6:30 p.m. Aug. 19. The After School Club will feature a film at 12:45 p.m. Aug. 20; and Wendy Beckett will present a DVD tour of Chicago's Art Institute at 1 p.m. Aug. 22.

Jane Simmons will share recipes of "Sprouts and Wheat" at 6:30 p.m. Aug. 26.
