Police yesterday arrested a 19-year-old man suspected of manufacturing and exploding homemade bombs at a Windward O'ahu golf course.

The suspect turned himself in at the main police station at 3:45 p.m., was booked for investigation for prohibited explosives and released pending further investigation at 5 p.m. The alleged offenses occurred July 16 between 9 and 10 p.m., police said.

The alleged explosives caused no injuries or property damage, police said.

Brent K. Baumann, however, was being held overnight at the main police station cellblock on outstanding warrants of $500, $250 and $250. He was scheduled to be taken today to District Court for appearances on the warrants.
