Driving in the wrong direction on Kamehameha Highway in Pearl City was the first mistake.

The second was doing it in a stolen vehicle.

It all led to the arrest of a 36-year-old Waipahu woman yesterday at 2:37 p.m. at 922 Kamehameha Highway.

A police officer made a traffic stop after seeing the vehicle back out of a gas station parking lot and proceed in the wrong direction on the highway. During the stop the officer received information the vehicle had been reported stolen.

Auto theft charges are pending but Jean Akiko Juliano was also arrested on an outstanding $150 warrant. Juliano has two prior convictions.

A 44-year-old Waipahu man, a passenger, was arrested for investigation of unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle.
