An 'Ewa Beach man indicted today for second-degree murder and first-degree terroristic threatening should be sentenced to an extended term of imprisonment for the protection of the public, according to the O'ahu grand jury.

Jose "Rizal" Tubera Jr., 59, is accused of the stabbing death of his 65-year-old brother-in-law Adolfo Alonso Jr., and threatening the victim's son, Richard Alonso, with a knife on July 29.

The indictment stated that Tubera should have known that his brother in law was 60 years or older in recommending extended sentencing if he is convicted of the two felony offenses.
