Water main repair tonight at Honokai Hale

Advertiser Staff

Board of Water Supply crews will be repairing a 24-inch main tonight on Farrington Highway between La'aloa and Waiomea streets in West O'ahu.

The main break, reported shortly before 3 p.m., has not disrupted water service but the Board of Water Supply is urging residents from Honokai Hale to Makaha to use water for essential needs only tonight into tomorrow, said Tracy Burgo, a BWS spokesperson.

Crews plan to close the left town-bound lane when repair work starts.

The damaged, aging main will be replaced as part of BWS' Farrington Highway pipeline replacement project, said Burgo.
