KAPOLEI
New stretch of Kapolei Parkway now under way

Work has begun on a key segment of Kapolei Parkway, developer D.R. Horton Schuler Division announced this week.

The western spur of the parkway will extend from Fort Barrette Road about one-fifth of a mile to a portion being developed by Kapolei Property Development LLC that will connect with Kamokila Boulevard.

By 2010, the completed, six-lane Kapolei Parkway will be the main east-west artery connecting lower 'Ewa Beach with west Kapolei.

Among the improvements being undertaken in this phase will be a signalized traffic signal at Kapolei Parkway and Fort Barrette Road.

Horton Schuler is the developer of the Mehana subdivision in west Kapolei.
