SUSPECT IN '91 THEFT TO BE ARRAIGNED

A theft suspect extradited to Hawai'i from Texas Monday will be arraigned at Circuit Court tomorrow for an alleged offense that occurred 17 years ago.

Pamela Richardson, 50, is accused of first-degree theft for allegedly stealing more than $35,000 in 1991 while working as branch manager of Associates Financial Service Co. of Hawaii in Wahiawa. Richardson allegedly approved numerous loans to fictitious or deceased people and deposited the money into her personal account.

Richardson fought extradition to Hawai'i and on June 11, Texas Gov. Rick Perry signed the extradition order.
