Seminar for Hollywood hopefuls slated for Kauai

KAPA'A – A Hollywood film executive will visit Kaua'i to conduct a seminar that's designed to help anyone thinking of getting into the film industry or those who have been in the film industry for a while and would like to advance their careers.

The seminar will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 16, at the ResortQuest Kaua'i Beach at Makaiwa.

The cost to attend the seminar is $50. Enrollment is limited to 100 participants with a free "Tropic Thunder" poster offered to the first 50 people who sign up.

Called "What They Don't Teach You in Film School," the seminar will be presented by Eve Honthaner, a staff production executive with DreamWorks Studios whose film credits include: Tropic Thunder; Titanic; Joy Ride; and Just Married.
