Film pro holding one-day workshop on Aug. 16

A Hollywood movie professional's one-day workshop on "What they Don't Teach You In Film School" will be held in Kapa'a on Aug. 16.

The $50 workshop will be taught by Eve Honthaner, a staff production executive with DreamWorks Studios, said a release from the Kaua'i Office of Economic Development. Honthaner's film credits include the just-released Tropic Thunder, which was filmed on Kaua'i.

The workshop, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. at the ResortQuest Kaua'i Beach at Makaiwa, is geared toward those thinking of getting into the film industry or trying to advance their careers.

Enrollment is limited to 100 participants.

The seminar is co-sponsored by the County of Kaua'i and A Whale of a Time Productions.
